We received an email yesterday from the adoption agency. As of May, Ehtiopia will now require TWO (2) trips instead of one. This is a little bit shocking since we were only expecting to have to make one trip but God is in control and will provide the extra costs associated with the second trip. There were several folks going over there to pick up their child and then refusing the child at the door. Ethiopia wants to protect their children and the adoption process by requiring that the families meet their child and go to the first court proceeding on the first trip and then return on a second trip to pick up the child and go to the second court date with the US Embassy.
Please pray for us and our fundraisers that we will be able to cover the costs we already knew about and now the costs of the second trip.
